Morphological study on Stigeoclonium species from Bihar lake Pratapgarh (U.P.) India

Abstract

The Present paper deals with taxa of genus Stigeoclonium which includes 22 genera 24 species and 3 varities. Of these Stigeoclonium farctum Berthold, Stigeoclonium longipilum Kuetz, Stigeoclonium variable Naegili, Stigeoclonium fascicularis Kuetz and Stigeoclonium pachydermum Prescott have been reported for the first time from Bihar lake, they constitute new record for the area.
